            <description><![CDATA[<p>Happy New Year to you all and we hope you enjoyed the Christmas festivities.</p>

<h2>Snow plays havoc</h2>

<p>I was driving to Kidderminster this morning, to carry out an energy survey on a rental property, when the snow flurries started. After driving a few more miles and a quick call to the lettings office I had to turn round and make my way back to Malvern.</p>

<p>By the time I got back to Malvern the snow was getting heavier and I soon realised I wasn't going to make my next appointment either so, homeward bound, I decided that I would use the time to get the blog sorted on the website.</p>

            <title>The Future for HIPs</title>

<p>Well this is my first blog ever but thought it is about time I started putting my thoughts down because as they say 'It's good to talk'</p>

<p>Today (20/10/2009) I attended a seminar from <a href="http://bit.ly/7eJIs" target="_blank">HIP2go</a>, regarding the future of HIPs primarily concerned with the Conservative plans should they gain power. It was an interesting seminar with some good points raised and maybe if the suggestions put to the Conservative party come to fruition I can remain in business and sellers and buyers will have a more useful pack that would definitely speed up the home buying process.</p>

<p>Although the Conservatives have pledged to scrap HIPs I do feel it would be a step backward in the work trying to be done to improve the process, speed up the process and reduce the number of transaction failures. The suggestion put to the
